My Vagina is on Bed Rest

Three days before I got the diagnosis of a vulvar autoimmune disease, the Nothosaur Goblin dildo arrived in the mail. Knowing already that I experience pain with penetration, I chose the “mini” size for my Goblin, pre-colored with a lime green base and a shaft of purple. Which, unsurprisingly, reminded me of “Barnie,” the dinosaur from my childhood. 

Fantasy sex toys are really hit or miss as far as size goes, so it was a shock when I got the Nothosaur Goblin dildo in the mail. For starters, the box was small. And secondly, when I unwrapped it, I was thrilled to find it was an actual size mini. 

Fully customizable, unboxing the soft, small Goblin was a relief. 

Design of the Nothosaur Goblin Dildo

The Nothosaur Goblin is customizable in size, density, and color. Can it get any better than that? I was thrilled that the Goblin was so customizable despite, unlike indie fantasy toy makers, it is mass-produced and can still accommodate my needs.

With green balls hanging low, the Goblin’s purple shape is smaller at the base and more prominent in the middle, leading to the head, modeled after a human penis roughly. The Goblin has bumps along the shaft for textured stimulation, something many of us like. Though similar in design to a human dick, the Nothosaur Goblin is very much a fantasy dildo.

Materials, Care, and Keeping of the Nothosaur Goblin Dildo

The Nothosaur Goblin dildo came with extra goodies and a storage bag with the “Nothosaur” logo. Storage bags are always appreciated, especially with a fantasy dildo, and this bag was more than enough.

As the Goblin is made out of silicone, this dildo is body-safe. Silicone is my go-to material for sex toys, so having a body-safe, high-quality toy was perfect.

Silicone is easy to care for. As silicone is a body-safe material, silicone is non-absorbant so that it won’t suck up and harbor bacteria, unlike some sex toys (that your girl has used many times before being a reviewer). 

All you need to clean the Goblin is soap and water. Get the nooks and crannies soaped up and rinsed, and your Nothosaur Goblin dildo is all set for use. Be sure if it’s going from the anus to the vagina that, it’s thoroughly cleaned. 

The silicone of the Nothosaur Goblin does not need to be sanitized because it won’t absorb nastiness, though the nooks and crannies of some toys (not so much the Goblin) could hold some gunk. 

A lot of sex toy consumers believe their silicone needs to be sanitized between each use, but that’s not the case. However, if you’ve used it with partners, in asses and vaginas, you may feel better boiling the Nothosaur Goblin dildo. Heat a pan with water, grab tongs, and hold the dildo in the boiling water. Boiling a silicone sex toy is a surefire way to kill bacteria that may have gotten in nooks and crannies you can’t see.

Lubricant

Silicone lubricant is a fantastic choice of lube for anal and vaginal play. However, silicone lube can break down a silicone toy. Don’t ask me the science, but the silicone lube interacts with the toy, essentially break it down on a molecular level, and makes the silicone sex toy unsafe.

Instead of silicone-based lubricant, water-based lube is a safe go-to for any toy, especially the Goblin. There are countless water-based lubricants, from the Lovehoney Sassy (designed for anal sex) to the Sliquid Organic water-based lube to Silk cum lube (my favorite) to imitate ejaculate. Have some fun with your sexual lubricant. 

Additionally, if you must use a silicone lubricant because you want the toy to remain slicker longer, consider a hybrid lubricant like Spunk lube or Sliquid. Before you use it on your body, put a drop of the silicone-water-based lubricant on the base of the toy or somewhere where it won’t touch your body, and wait a bit. If there’s no reaction, and I’ve been lucky enough to go eleven years reviewing sex toys without a hybrid lube reaction, you’re good to have some fun.

General Experience

This review is a little different. As of this moment, I’ve been instructed to leave my vulva and vagina alone for my health. Less than a week ago, I was diagnosed with a vulvar autoimmune disease that currently has created a fissure above my clitoris and results in vaginal pain. Therefore, I cannot use this toy for you. 

How, then, can I write a reliable review? 

I’ve reviewed over a hundred silicone dildos or so, and I know what’ll work for my body and what won’t. Furthermore, I can touch the silicone dildo, asses the shape, material, and texture. Without using this in my vagina, I can, with confidence, tell you that this is a good toy for me. It’s the most petite fantasy toy I’ve ever had, also the softest.

I love soft silicone in my toys, and the Nothosaur Goblin in soft small is a dream. As I heal, I can use internal toys again; the Goblin will be a hit. 

I like a little texture like the Fleshlight Zombie, but not too much like the Tantus Purr, and the Goblin boasts only a slight texture. Goblin’s soft silicone won’t be firm enough for my ass, but it will be comfortable for vaginal use. 

The mini size is such a damn relief. Goblin is the most petite fantasy dildo I own, and I was ecstatic when I unboxed it for that reason. Right now, and for the last few years, I’ve been unable to experience penetration comfortably, and I know, without a doubt, that this will be the ideal size for me as soon as I can use it. As a genuinely mini dildo, overall, the toy will fit in my vagina. The Goblin’s head is large, but not too large, and 

Many people need texture. Some may not like texture to bombard our innards. Thus, the Goblin. Small bumps along the shaft are ideal for my pleasure. They aren’t overwhelming, they won’t blow you away, but you can feel the bumps rub against the inside of your anus or vagina, providing more sensations against your body. 

Customizability

The Goblin comes in mini to XXXL – a true beast of a toy. The density and color are customizable for your preferences. I chose a pre-made color because I didn’t feel like being creative. However, with so many color choices, you’ll find something that works for you. 

Density

Silicone’s density impacts my comfort. I’ve tried them all, from Tantus’ “super-soft” silicone to the Zombie and Abracadabra, the two most brutally textured dildos I own. Overall
