Lovehoney sent me the Lifelike Lover Lux Realistic Multi-colored Silicone Dildo, a new staple in the sex toy box by our bed. This isn’t an easy feat to accomplish, so kudos to Lovehoney’s manufacturing department.

Realistic shape of the Lifelike Lover Lux Dildo

There are two main things I love about the Lifelike Lover Lux Dildo: the first is the realistic design. The veins on the shaft, the foreskin pulled downward, and the dramatic lip of the head made this Uber-realistic. The multi-colored design makes it present as a fantasy toy despite the realistic shape. For those opposed to realistic dildos, but love the feeling of them, this is a safe bet.

I’ve had a lot of penis’ in my life and the Lifelike Lover Lux Dildo has an “average” shape that my body accommodates easily. The fact that the girth and length isn’t anything special is what makes me like this dildo so much. Furthermore, the Lux dildo is firm but pliable to a comfortable extent.

It has a prominent head with a strong lip and veins to add texture. While the veins didn’t do much for me, the feeling of the lip of the head slipping in and out of me was pleasant.

Navigating this Dildo with a Partner

My girlfriend is always a willing partner for my reviews and she loved this dildo but she did have one concern: getting a firm grip immediately. She found that the ease of thrusting was excellent. Once she had a firm grip on the flimsy base she was able to keep a hold on the toy and thrust vigorously.

We didn’t use it for butt play but the flared, suction base on the Lifelike Lover Lux Dildo makes this a safe toy to use in your butt.

Care and Keeping

Being made out of silicone, the Lifelike Lover Lux Dildo cannot handle silicone-based lube. The best way to go would be water-based lube to avoid damaging the silicone. I like this kind of lube the best, and it comes in a silicone-based option for other toys you may have. Sliquid has an organic option as well, which makes me feel good about what I’m putting in my body.

Because silicone is non-porous the Lifelike Lover Lux Dildo can be washed with soap and water before or after use. For your peace-of-mind, you can also sanitize it in the dishwasher (if your device has that setting), by boiling it or making a water-bleach solution (but do not boil that!).

Lifelike Lover Lux Dildo has a Suction Cup with Pull-Tab

At the base of the Lifelike Lover Lux Dildo is a suction cup. While the flimsy-ness of the cup made it a bit challenging to get a grip on the toy, the suction was strong.

Lovehoney really thought out the design when they created a built-in pull-tab that effectively disengages the suction from whatever surface it was a part of. The suction was strong enough that it stuck on a flat surface, not just my shower wall with some dampness to make the suction stronger.

Who would like this? What if you don’t think you will?
