First Impressions and Packaging

I love Lovehoney for a lot of reasons: their generous return policy and the fact that they ship worldwide are a few. Lovehoney sent me a box to unbox on YouTube (take a look at the video!) and now it’s time for the reviews. The first toy I’m going to review for you is the Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo.

The Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo comes in a simple box that displays the toy on the front and gives a little description on the side. While the packaging is nothing special, it’s what’s inside the box that is fun.

When I opened the basic box I found a leather-like bag with the dildo inside. I was a bit surprised that there wasn’t additional packaging but kudos to Lovehoney for eliminating unnecessary waste.

Lovehoney has started including these leather-ish bags with a lot of their toys. I absolutely love that. The quality of the bag is superb and it features two zippers that have the potential to lock. That is fucking fantastic.

Let’s Get Physical

The Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo is a metal sex toy encased in silicone. I have a metal allergy and was not bothered in the least bit by this toy. The silicone encasement is what makes me feel confident that I can safely use this toy.

A dramatic curve makes this an ideal g-spotter. It has a slim end and a bulbed end for different levels of stimulation. It’s the double-end that makes this toy easy for a g-spot beginner. Additionally, the Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo is ergonomically designed for easy gripping and pinpoint stimulation.

While this toy seems large at 9″ long, it’s actually only has about 5″ of insertable length. However, though it’s an average length (think: average penis) the weight of the dildo makes me feel full. The whole point of a g-spotter is to stimulate a specific part of your body. In fact, when the toy goes deeper inside of me it becomes very uncomfortable.

Materials, Care, and Keeping

The Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo is a metal toy encased of silicone. The metal interior is completely covered by a purple silicone you find in, like, every toy ever. You can use most lube, oil lube and water-based lube are safe, but don’t use silicone lube. It can damage the silicone of the toy. I like Sliquid H20 for a water-based lube.

To clean this dildo, you can use a 1:10 bleach:water solution. However, just washing the dildo with soap and water will do because it’s made of a non-porous material. You can also throw it in the dishwasher. I have a great time filling my dishwasher with sex toys and running it. There is no joy like opening a dishwasher full of dildos at the end of a long day.

My Experience with Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo

I like that there is a pronounced end and an unassuming end. This makes this dildo an easier one for beginners. In order not to be too overwhelmed by the toy, I found that the bulbous side of the dildo needed to be handled with care. Strong thrusts made my cervix feel beat up so I quickly learned not to thrust too deep. When my girlfriend was in the drivers seat, however, there were two problems.

My girlfriend controlled the toy for a split second but it was difficult for her to use it without causing great discomfort. She also has carpal tunnel and was unable to hold this toy very long. In the end, I used it myself, as a solo toy. It was disappointing that my girlfriend couldn’t participate but this toy is adequately marketed as a “weighted g-spot dildo.”

Given the dramatic curvature of the toy, it was easy for my girlfriend to hurt me with the Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo. The vigorous thrusting we usually partake in was too intense with this toy. It was also difficult for her and me to know exactly where to thrust and when to tip up-and-down rather than in-and-out.

It was easy to have the Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo go too deep inside of me. That makes sense, given that the g-spot is 1-2″ within the vaginal canal. And although the girth isn’t impressive, the weight of the toy made me feel filled.

However, I find it easier to manipulate than the Pure Wand and it’s less likely to get stuck behind my pubic bone. While I love the weight of the Pure Wand, the damn thing is rather large and awkward. The Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo fits naturally in the palm of my hand.

Some Lube Options

I used the Foria Cannabis Intimacy Lubricant but any water-based or oil-based lubricant will do. I like Sliquid H2O for play like this. That being said, it’s just fun to experiment with some fun little new things like CBD. In addition, I also used the Luxury Orgasm Balm on my clitoris, which works wonders and heightened the sensations.

Final Thoughts on the Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo

I enjoyed the Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo as a g-spotter. It was an intense toy. However, given the price of this toy is 1/3 of what you’d pay for the nJoy Pure Wand, my favorite g-spotter, it’s a pretty darn good deal.

The Desire Lovehoney Weighted G-Spot Dildo is a good starter g-spotter, because of the two different styled ends. It was a literal pleasure having the option to use different levels of intensity. However, I had a hard time having my partner control the toy because it was so easy to accidentally bump my cervix.

If you want a vibrating option there’s the Desire Luxury G-Spot Vibrator which is a good option. And for those of us with sensitive cervix’s, the SuperSex Soft Feel G-Spot Vibrator is an alternative.
