A Staggering Disappointment: Huntington Beach Vibrator Review – Why?

A Staggering Disappointment: Huntington Beach Vibrator Review – Why?

The Huntington Beach Vibrator sent to me by Betty’s Toy Box review is up for review! Betty’s Toy Box is an online relater that was up for an AVN award this year. They don’t use gendered language; their toys are body-safe and dedicated to helping people find pleasure. (There’s also a BTB Canada edition: Naughty North.)

Betty’s Toy Box knows I love the Cal Exotics line “California Dreaming.” Right here at this word, I’ve loved every toy I’ve reviewed in this line. However, Huntington Beach ruined this streak. Read on to find out why.

The Alluring Huntington Beach Vibrator

The Huntington Beach vibrator is a gorgeous blue designed to be not too intimidating. While that’s good for some, the longer the dildo, the better for me. Although short, the Huntington Beach vibrator is a bit girthier than the other toys in their line. You’ll know by now that I have a medically-tight vagina. It drives me insane, and I was in physical therapy for a while. However, the pain and tightness is still there.

Fortunately, the girth wasn’t so much that I couldn’t get it in, though it did take some stretching and patience. Let me tell you, readers, patience is not something I have, but I do it for my vagina anyway.

When I saw this vibe, I was worried it was too girthy for me. I’ve gravitated toward longer, thinner toys for comfortable girth and a-spot stimulation. I discovered my a-spot before I was a reviewer and am addicted to that stimulation, so much so that my partners can’t always reach the spot I crave. (supersmashcache has a great article on the a-spot.) However, The Huntington Beach was initially a pain to insert because the head isn’t very tapered. In this case, though, I should have started with a dilator, but I was too excited to wait.

The Huntington Beach Vibrator in Action

The user control this rabbit vibrator with a series of buttons. There are toys that I appreciate for their simplicity. Sometimes it’s nice to have one button that controls the speed as long as it resets when you turn off the toy… But, numerous buttons are appreciated when a toy has multiple functions.

Silicone is a body-safe material and is by far my favorite. It’s durable, doesn’t absorb or keep bacteria, can be washed with soap and water with nothing else required, and has varying firmness.

My favorite type of silicone is lovely and squishy. The Huntington Beach is a firm mechanical toy with no give in the silicone. That’s perfect for this toy. The firmness puts exquisite pressure again my G-spot and keeps it there. The firm silicone carries the vibrations well and maintains contact with your body.

To charge the toy, plug it into a USB port and insert the charger into the Huntington Beach vibrator port. The silicone will seal around it the opening when it’s detached.

What About That Ridiculous Suction?

Although the shaft is an excellent length for g-spot stimulation and girthy enough that you have that constant pressure, the rabbit ears are where we ran into trouble. The arm of the rabbit vibrator is supposed to use air-pulse technology to stimulate the clitoris and mimic the sensation of oral sex. A great concept that is becoming increasingly popular but developed by Womanizer. This technology is evolving to be stronger and more pleasurable every year by Womanizer, and the We-Vibe Melt blew me away.

A Hit or a Miss?

huntington beach vibrator is a purple toy that is bendy to accommodate your body.

Huntington Beach is the worst of the Cal Exotics California Dreaming line. The air pulse strength was a joke and didn’t align with my body. I love the Nova because it’s always in contact with the body. The Huntington Beach vibe’s pleasure depends on the strength of the suction and the placement of your anatomy.

For me, it just didn’t cut it. The arms didn’t align properly with my body, but the worst thing about this toy was how weak the air pulse was. I turned that shit off so I could focus on the g-spot vibrations.

Despite the vibrations against my skene’s glands, I didn’t have the clitoral stimulation I needed to reach orgasm. To finish myself off, I had to grab the VIM (Fun Factory’s first wand vibrator) and jerk off to finish that way. It’s not the end of the world, but if I’m going to use a toy, I don’t want to HAVE TO use a second to reach climax. Toys should get you there by themselves alone.

Featuring: LuvMor Naturals Coconut Oil Based Personal Lubricant

I wish this post could be more positive, but it just can’t. When the LuvMor Coconut Lube arrived, the lubricant was solid. Yes, coconut oil is thick, but I expected it to be fractionated. However, the LuvMor marketing says to warm up a bit of the lube between your fingers. In my opinion, that’s just a waste of time; but, there is something to be said about natural lube. In action, once warmed up, the LuvMor lube did the trick. It requires work, but I love the smell of coconut and the adorable packaging.

As a lube, it’s just not reliable enough. You have to warm it up each time. In a warm room, it’s slick, but if the room is a little too cool, it’ll be a chore. If that doesn’t deter you, like it did me, this lube is undoubtedly an option. If that doesn’t sound like your jam, I’ve compiled a list of lubricants, their uses, and suggestions.

Details of the LuvMor Lube

Luvmor lube was what I used with the Huntington Beach Vibrator

Key ingredients

  • Organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil – clean, natural, non-irritating, moisturizing; long-lasting glide
  • Organic Cocoa Butter – protects tissue, is long-lasting, and is perfect for intimate massage
  • Organic Sunflower Oil – combats vaginal dryness.
  • Organic Jojoba – non-irritating, non-allergic to the skin, has lubricant, moisturizing and soothing properties, and has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. It is considered one of the best moisturizers for the genital area for both men and women.
  • Organic Hibiscus Extract – Intensely moisturizing, healing/prevents elastin breakdown, anti-inflammatory
  • Vitamin E – improves vaginal lubrication and improves symptoms of vaginal atrophy.

Overall

The Huntington Beach vibrator was a disappointment. Although the vibrations and pressure against my G-spot were divine, they didn’t do the job. I needed two toys, precisely what you shouldn’t need to do. If you want dual stimulation, there are better toys. Hell, even the Womanizer Duo is better than this. At least with the Womanizer Duo, both functions work in your favor.

Instead of the Huntington Beach Rabbit Vibrator, I recommend exploring other toys in their line. For instance, I loved the Palasadas Passion, and although I haven’t reviewed it yet on my blog, the Sonoma Satisfier from the California Dreaming line hits the spot.

The Womanizer is hard to beat if you crave that clitoral suction sensation. The We-Vibe Melt, which now comes in blue, is an excellent suction toy, which makes the Huntington Beach pale in comparison.

If you want to give a temperamental (to temperature) lube a try, the LuvMor Coconut Lube can be found at Betty’s Toy Box.

Thank you to Betty’s Toy Box for sending me this toy in exchange for an honest review!
