This review will focus primarily on the  Lovehoney Colorplay Color-Changing Silicone Dildo 7 Inch dildo. However, the other two Lovehoney sex toys are brushed-upon.

You’ll notice throughout my blog that I have a tendency to gravitate toward dildos vs. vibrators. To me, those are the easiest to write and the most pleasurable to review. However, for those of you who like vibes in your sex toys, the bullet hole in the bottom of the dildo accommodates my Tango perfectly.

This Lovehoney dildo was a pleasure to review. Unlike many other dildos I’ve used, the smooth exterior and simple design of the  Lovehoney Colorplay Dildo didn’t make shit complicated. It kept things even and *cough* smooth.

The Lovehoney Colorplay Color-Changing Silicone Dildo 7 Inch, like the cock ring and butt plug, started out as a cool gray/black and transitioned colors with heat. Here’s the darn thing, though. The color was light pink. Fun as it may be to watch your body change a toy, it still startled me because I thought something pink was coming out of me.

I was able to enjoy the slight spread of the dildo without any rough bumps and use it to gently stretch my pelvic floor as my doctor instructed. Insertion was easy, I lubed that sucker up and gently let it enter me with just light pressure. No harm, no foul here.

Let’s discuss the comfort of the Lovehoney Colorplay Color-Changing Silicone Dildo

The Lovehoney Colorplay Color-Changing Silicone Dildo isn’t massive, it isn’t even what I’d consider big. It fits my body perfectly. To me, girth is more important than length, I even prefer shorter toys when doing myself. This Lovehoney dildo wasn’t girthy at all but was a comfortable fit which suits my body no matter what state it’s in. Because of my tense pelvic floor, I’ll often force toys into my body. Though I’ve been advised against such actions, no force was required to insert this dildo.

I enjoyed the smooth texture and found that the dildo didn’t gunk up on girl juices and lube, nor did it suck up the lube. With Sliquid – my preferred lube – the dildo slid right in and was able to maintain a consistent rhythm with my body. 

The lip of the dildo is subtle and didn’t pop uncomfortably behind my pelvic bone. I find that popping sensation to be most uncomfortable. I was glad that I didn’t need to worry about that impacting my pleasure. 

The fun didn’t stop with comfort. I was able to stick the dildo to the wall of the shower and have some hands-free lazy fucking in the shower because of the empty bullet hole. Putting the Tango, my favorite bullet vibe, in the slot was also fun. Because the vibrations didn’t travel very well, it won’t be something I bother with in the future. 

My girlfriend and I enjoyed it together and both she and I  were able to maintain a firm grip on the dildo as she thrust vigorously.

Can you stick this in your butt?

The dildo is also anal safe, which allows for even more fun. It’s important not to put anything into the black hole of the body – the anus – that doesn’t have a base. It will be sucked up your butt and that can result in an awkward and uncomfortable ER experience.

I’m going to simply acknowledge the Lovehoney Colorplay Color-Changing Silicone Butt Plug as a member of the set because it was graciously given to me for review. While butt plugs aren’t my thing, they are my girlfriends. However, she wasn’t a fan and it didn’t get much use from us. I cannot comment much more than that because it went in and promptly came out with little feedback. I’ve found that it’s not ideal to pressure a review out of someone so I will simply say it’s cute, though my girlfriend anticipated it being a tad bit too small and it was for her butt.

My girlfriend isn’t a fan of cock rings because they just simply aren’t physically comfortable.

There were three cock rings in the set and my girlfriend, who is slightly larger than average, decided to use the medium ring.

For the sake of the review, with thanks to her, she kept it on during a love session but hasn’t used it since because it just wasn’t comfortable. The most I can say about it is that it was effective in its execution. It wasn’t right for me to ask her to use it again so I won’t. Many thanks to Lovehoney for sending this sex toy set to me regardless. 

Who may like this and what can we use instead?

I really appreciate how unthreatening and easy it was to use this Lovehoney Colorplay Dildo because of the smooth, uninterrupted silicone and the standard girth of this sex toy.
