Lelo Ora 3 Oral Toy & Powerful Soraya Wave Fingering Review

Lelo Ora 3 Oral Toy & Powerful Soraya Wave Fingering Review

Late last year, I reviewed the Lelo Smart Wand and Enigma and was pleasantly surprised that the Lelo Smart Wand worked so well. I reviewed the Lelo Ora 3 and the Lelo Soraya Wave today. Did either of these hold up to the Smart Wand? Read on to find out!

First Impression

My first impression of the Ora 3 wasn’t much of a surprise. I understood how it worked because I’ve held it in stores before. What I was concerned about what how effective the “tongue” would be against my clit. The Palisades Passion vibrator was similar to the Ora 3 in that it stimulates the clit of the user manually, without the need for vibrations or suction. From what I remember in the stores, the Ora 3 is highly customizable regarding patterns and speed of the “tongue” of the toy.

I was excited about the Soraya Wave. While I knew the vibrations were high and buzzy, the wave might make up for the buzzy vibrations. It’s a lot like the Mona Wave because it stimulates the G-spot. More than the Mona, however, the Soraya Wave is dramatic. That I could live with if it hits the right spot. The rabbit arm, however, would almost not match up with my body.

Design, Care, and Keeping

The Ora 3 and the Soraya 2 Wave are silicone-coated toys. That means they’re body-safe, can be washed with soap and water, and are clean. To sanitize it for peace of mind, if you’re using it from butt to vagina, you can soak the toys briefly in a bleach-to-water solution.

Taking care of the toys while in use is essential, too. I use lube with all of the toys I use vaginally or anally, and even some like the Ora 3, so it moves better. It’s important to note that because these toys are silicone, silicone lube can mess with their silicone. Always use a water-based lube or a hybrid with silicone toys to be safe. If you’re going to use a hybrid, or if you’re willing to take the risk, spot-test a small, unusable part of the toy with the lube to see how it’ll react. If you’re feeling lazy AF like I often do, a toy cleaner will work in a pinch, but before putting it in a vagina, please wash it first.

Both the Ora 3 and the Soraya Wave are rechargeable. Although that may hurt your wallet, these toys commonly last much longer. I always prefer rechargeable, and ten years later, after reviewing this whole time, most of my rechargeable toys still work.

The Ora 3 and Soraya Wave in Use

These aren’t easy to learn how to use in my experience. Three buttons aren’t immediately apparent about how they work, which is super annoying. I found that the middle button turns on both the vibrations and the tongue of the Ora 3, while the up and down buttons control the 12 speeds of intensity.

Likewise, for the Soraya Wave. As simple as these toys seem to be to control, there aren’t as many ways to customize the wave/clit tongue to your body.

My Experience with the Ora 3

The Ora 3 was less of a disappointment than the Soraya Wave. After I figured out how to use the Ora 3, I was disappointed to find that the circling of the tongue and vibrations couldn’t be turned on or off exclusively from each other. If I have something wiggling against my clit, I want to focus on that feeling. It’s important to me to turn off the vibrations to just fucking lay there and feel what the unique part of the toy has to offer.

Someone suggested putting the Ora 3 against their body on Lelo’s site and then holding a pillow between their legs. Reviewer, let me tell the consumer that hands-off ways to use toys are hot. Instead of my hands, the toy works for itself, as demonstrated by the Fun Factory Stronic line and now the Ora 3.

Something I didn’t anticipate was that the Ora 3 hit my clit as I needed it to. I was so sure the circles that the Ora 3 takes were too wide, but they worked fine with me. Toys that give hands-free orgasms in unique ways are *chef’s kiss*.

I chose to review the Ora 3 because of the tongue/oral sex feature. I want weird toys that go beyond insert →, vibrate, → come. I was incredibly disappointed that I couldn’t just lay back and experience the “oral sex simulation” without the vibrations. It was just too much.

My Experience with the Soraya Wave

I knew from the get-go that the damn Soraya Wave’s vibrations weren’t going to do shit for me. The damn thing buzzes like a bee, so high and fast that it almost feels like one constant touch. Many other consumers and I prefer a deep, rumbly vibration. I can’t reach orgasm with a continuous buzz.

The wave of the Soraya 2 Wave had a loud, mechanical noise with each movement, akin to that of less expensive toys. I had earnestly hoped that the Soraya 2 Wave’s movement would be as satisfying as the Mona Wave, and it was. The movement of the toy shaft seems more dramatic as if they’d adjusted the movements between the Mona Wave and the Soraya 2 Wave. However, as excellent as this was, there was no way to stop the vibrations of the Soraya 2 Wave while I was trying to focus on the movement of this toy.

Rabbit ears were also an issue. While the vibrations were strong in the rabbit ears (albeit buzzy), they didn’t line up with my clit as nicely as I’d liked. I’ve tried many rabbit toys, and I have a favorite that always touches my clit. The ears of the Soraya 2 Wave didn’t touch me as well as they needed to for me to come from clitoral stimulation. To make up for it not as efficiently handling me, I opted for no lube on the rabbit arms so there’d be more of a drag. Did that help me reach orgasm? No. But did it make the sensation stronger? Also, no.

Overall Thoughts

I wasn’t a massive fan of either of these toys. I’ve reviewed a lot of Lelo toys, and I’m often disappointed. Today wasn’t too much of a change. While I enjoyed the tongue motion of the Ora 3, the constant vibrations ruined the feeling of oral sex. The Soraya Wave was loud and mechanical, and it didn’t fit my anatomy as well as I needed it to.
