Intro To The Rave 2 Review

It was approximately a million years ago, in 2013, that I began reviewing toys. I started with Good Vibes’ Galaxy G, my first rabbit sex toy sent to me by Lovehoney. I worked up to brands considered “luxury toys,” like Womanizer’s Liberty, Tango X from We-Vibe, and the Enigma by Lelo. Though not my first well-made and well-respected toy, the Rave was one of them. I was given the original Rave with the Original Nova and chose to review the two together because I was not satisfied with the Rave alone. (Since then, there has also been an updated Nova, the Nova 2.)

We-Vibe is a brand I trust, and I get actively excited when they have new toys, like the We-Vibe Rave 2. Their high-quality toys all sport the rumbly vibrations you are only not certain to find elsewhere. We-Vibe’s toys are almost all completely silicone-covered and come in a range of colors to choose from. In an industry where pink and purple dominate the market, We-Vibe is working on alternatives for us. However, the fact still stands that purple and pink sell the best, and they understandably carry the overwhelming fem colors.

I got a blue Rave 2. Although I’d prefer the pink Rave 2, I don’t want to turn you all off to an amazing toy just because I pick my favorite color. Enter the Rave 2 review in blue!

Design 

The We-Vibe Rave 2 is a nearly replica of the first version. With a playful curve, the purple Rave is designed to twist around inside of you as you thrust and ram against your g-spot. I did not understand or appreciate the toy concept when I wrote the last review. Now, however, I’ve found the Rave to be an almost lazy way to stimulate my G-spot. 

The Rave 2’s curve is quite literally genius. It harnesses the natural shape of the vagina and plays with it to the max. Its vibrations are the traditional rumbly vibe that almost all We-Vibe toys boast. The only similar rumbly vibrations I’ve experienced are from Fun Factory.

Over time, my body has changed what it likes, and toys like the Fun Factory stronic line were born – the ultimate lazy way to masturbate. I’ve come to appreciate toys that don’t make me do much work. While the Rave 2 is no thruster, the shape allows for comfortable fucking because you just push the toy in and out of you; it does the twisting and navigating your cunt for you.

The Rave 2 is waterproof, which means I can take it into the bath and get busy with myself, which is a feature I very much appreciate in a sex toy. Thanks to the rumbly vibrations, the We-Vibe Rave 2 is just as pleasurable as an external toy as it is internal.

How To Use

Four buttons control the We-Vibe Rave 2’s intensities and patterns. Once I found what I liked, I stuck with it. Ninety minutes of charging time will get you 120 minutes of playtime. For that, I am thankful. While it doesn’t take me too long to cum, quite honestly, I’d give up before 120 minutes is halfway over; a longer play time is always appreciated! There is nothing worse in this world than a toy losing power right when you’re about to cum. (That is the worst thing in the world, right?)

Materials and Care of the Rave 2 Review

Silicone is a completely body-safe toy. It doesn’t absorb bacteria, or anything for that matter, and all it takes is a quick wash with soap and water. The Rave 2 doesn’t need to be sanitized because of its makeup, but some people are more comfortable with a bleach-to-water soak. The Rave 2 is electrical, so don’t boil or wash it in the dishwasher, as you may with a silicone dildo. There are no nooks and crannies on the Rave 2 to harbor bacteria you may not wash off. 

Lube – The Secret Key to Success

Lube is my best friend and likely is yours, too. There are many types of lube, but silicone-based and hybrid lubricants can harm silicone toys. The silicone lube degrades silicone toys, but if you must use silicone lube, consider a hybrid water-silicone solution. Always spot-test the hybrid or silicone lube you choose to use on a part of the toy that won’t touch the inside of your body. Let it rest for a short while, and then, if there are no chemical interactions, go forth with the fucking. My recommendation, friend, will always be water-based lube or oil lube.

My Experience During The Rave 2 Review

I started the jack-off session by glopping on my favorite water-based lubricant LINK Lube is incredibly important for me, as my vagina doesn’t always self-lubricate for my comfort.

I suffer from chronic back pain and find that laying on my back is the least painful way for me to masturbate. However, as with most toys, effort is often involved, especially when stimulating my G-spot. I utilize G-spot toys in the most uncomfortable way possible and thrust up and down, in and out with my entire arm, and my body tenses when I use my arm, resulting in back pain. 

I found that the best way for me to use the Rave 2 was to start by pressing the of the toy against my clitoris and then move internally. I turned off the vibrations while using the Rave 2 because they were strong, effective, and distracting. I don’t usually put the toy in vibration mode while it’s inside of me. There’s just too much going on. However, the vibrations were fantastic against my g-spot.

This Shit Got an Upgrade!

The Rave 2 is a new (upgraded) ball game for g-spot stimulation. First, I pressed the Rave on after charging it, bringing about a rumbly vibration. The Rave II is controlled by four buttons – not the easiest way to masturbate without pulling the toy out and closing one eye to read the buttons up close. 

Fortunately, I didn’t often change the setting. With the right settings enabled, I laid on my back with a pillow under my lower back and inserted the Rave. My vagina is uncomfortably tight, so it took some maneuvering to get the Rave 2 inside of me, but when it was, holy shit, was it worth it—thrust after lazy thrust, the Rave 2 twister into my g-spot. Loosely controlled, my back didn’t tense with the Rave 2’s every thrust. Truly a lazy fuck.

Price & Overall Thoughts of the Rave 2 Review

At $139, the Rave 2 isn’t cheap, but given the prices now of sex toys and how well they perform, I’m satisfied with the price tag. Inflation has hit the sex toy market hard; that’s what makes this job I do some important. I don’t want you to trash your hard-earned money on a toy that is absolute shit. 

The Rave 2 is worth the money you will be forced to spend. Company after company boasts that their product is amazing and one of a kind. In the case of the We-Vibe Rave 2, I’d agree with them. I’m actively on the market and have never come across a toy like the Rave 2.
